The UN Global Compact is a global initiative launched by the United Nations in 2000 that encourages business to operate responsibly and sustainably on key issues such as human rights, labor standards, environmental protection and anti-corruption. The UN Global Compact encourages companies to cooperate to create a sustainable and inclusive global economy in order to provide lasting benefits to people, communities and markets around the world.
